"I was very impressed with your site. It was extremely easy to follow offering very reasonable CPE prices."
--David Bastiaans, Virginia Beach, VA

CPE for CPAs licensed in Montana

Regulations require CPAs in MT to report self study CPE at 50% of completion time.

FunCPE courses currently are listed and reported showing CPE credit at the 50% rate, except for new courses # 1015N.08--Cancellation of Debt and course # 1025N.09--Stand Up to the IRS,(which use the 100% rate), therefore the CPE hours shown on our Course Listing is the correct amount to report.

Montana CPAs can take CPE courses from sponsors outside of Montana for CPE credit.

If a CPE provider is registered as a NASBA QAS provider, self-study CPE credit is based on a 50-minute hour. If a CPE provider is not QAS, the CPE credit for self-study courses is based on a 100-minute hour. FunCPE is not a QAS provider.

Note that our courses are pretested in accordance with the MT CPE regulations and all courses are classified as interactive.

Requirements for Continuing Education Program Acceptance

F24.201.2137
CREDIT FOR FORMAL INDIVIDUAL STUDY PROGRAMS

(1) Formal self-study programs shall be pretested by the developer to
determine average completion time.

(a) Interactive self-study programs shall receive continuing education credit equal to the average completion time, if the sponsor is recognized and approved by NASBA's CPE quality assurance service (referred to as a NASBA QAS sponsor) or NASBA's national registry of CPE sponsors (referred to as a NASBA registry sponsor).

An interactive self-study program is designed to use interactive learning methodologies that simulate a classroom learning process that provides significant ongoing, interactive feedback to the participant regarding the participant's learning progress.

(b) All other interactive and noninteractive self-study programs receive
continuing education credit equal to one-half of the average completion time.

(2) Individuals claiming credit for such correspondence or formal individual
study courses are required to obtain evidence of satisfactory completion of the
course from the program sponsor. Credit is allowed in the period in which the
course is completed, except as allowed in ARM 24.201.2106.
