FunCPE is accepted in many states for CPA CPE and in all states for many professionals such as Enrolled Agents (scroll down for complete listing of professions we serve).
In
all states, CPA licensees have the individual responsibility of
selecting appropriate courses. State boards may limit the number of self-study credit hours which
can be used to meet requirements. Your State Board of Accountancy
is the final authority for the number of credit hours allowed
for a particular program, as well as the classification of courses
under its specific licensing requirement.
CPA s should contact your
State Board of Accountancy if you have any questions regarding
your states specific requirements as to the number of CPE
credit hours which you must earn, the acceptable fields of
study or the course format required.
You can review your state CPA CPE requirements online using links to state boards and state CPA societies.
The information contained in the following sections is believed to be the most current information available regarding your requirements. However, rules and regulations are constantly changing, therefore the information contained here is not guaranteed by FunCPE.

**Specific state restrictions for CPA s:
Maryland CPA s cannot take "The 7 Habits of Highly
Effective People", "Business @ The Speed of Thought"
or "Introduction to Internet Explorer" for credit.
New Hampshire requires that self study examinations contain in-depth review of the correct answers to program exam questions. Our interactive courses meet this requirement.
New Jersey CPA s cannot take courses concerning marketing a CPA practice, thus "How to Become a Rainmaker" is not accepted for credit. All FunCPE courses are based on a 100-minute hour as required by New Jersey CPE requirements.
New York CPA s cannot take personal development courses or courses concerning marketing a CPA practice, thus the following are not acceptable courses for NY CPAs:
Course 5001: The Millionaire Next Door
Course 6001: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Course 6002: Getting Things Done When You are Not in Charge
Course 6005: How to Become a Rainmaker
Course 6008: Managing Alliances (Never Eat Alone)
All other FunCPE courses not mentioned in these restrictions are accepted for credit in Maryland, New Jersey and New York.
Ohio CPA s no longer need a "registered provider number" because the Accountancy Board of Ohio discontinued sponsor registration requirements. Read about the Ohio sponsor changes for more information.
Texas CPA s should report their CPE credit based on a 100-minute hour. All FunCPE courses use a 100-minute hour for program measurement, so the CPE hours shown on our website and on your certificate are the CPE hours you should report. Not all CPE providers show the correct REPORTABLE CPE hours for Texas CPAs for their courses. Read the actual Texas CPA CPE requirements here.
