FunCPE is a registered Texas CPE Sponsor
Texas State Board of Public Accountancy requires CPE sponsors for TX CPAs to use the following language:
“We have entered into an agreement with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy to meet the requirements of CPE rules covering maintenance of attendance records, retention of program outlines, qualifications of instructors, program content, physical facilities, and length of class hours.
This agreement does not constitute an endorsement by the board as to the quality of the program or its contribution to the professional competence of the licensee.”
Texas requires CPE sponsors to register with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy
While many states either do not require any registration at all or accept sponsors registered with NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy), Texas is unique in that it requires CPE sponsors to register with the Texas State Board regardless of any other registrations.
If a sponsor is registered with NASBA, they must also register with the Texas State Board.
All CPE sponsors providing CPE to Texas CPAs must have a Texas provider number which is used for CPE reporting.
CPE sponsor registration information
FunCPE has been a registered Texas CPA CPE sponsor since 2001. Texas CPE sponsors renew their registration annually.
Requirements include signing a CPE sponsor agreement, paying an annual registration fee and submitting a detailed list of courses offered during the prior year.
