Certified Practitioner of Taxation (CPTx)

All FunCPE Tax courses are acceptable for CPTx CPE credit

Because this is a national certification, tax professionals in every state can receive credit for our courses.

History of the CPTx certification

The Certified Practitioner of Taxation (CPTx) certification was developed by the Institute of Certified Practitioners, but later transferred to the jurisdiction of Tau Alpha Chi, a professional organization founded in 1983 at Georgia State University to promote scholastic and professional excellence in the field of taxation.

The CPTx was granted upon the successful completion of an examination by Tau Alpha Chi or by a waiver of the examination based on a combination of education, continuing professional education and work experience.

CPE Requirements for CPTx

There are currently no published guidelines for CPE requirements for CPTx and no renewal or recertification information has been found.
